The fire, which started on the road's shoulder, required the intervention of four units from the Community of Madrid Fire Department, forest firefighters, and two helicopters. These teams worked to control the various fire hotspots and prevent its spread.
The smoke generated by the flames has significantly affected driver visibility in the area. In response, the 112 emergency service of the Community of Madrid advised road users to reduce speed, increase safety distance, and follow the instructions of emergency personnel.
The Civil Guard managed traffic during the emergency teams' operation to restore normalcy to the area affected by the fire.
Fortunately, the incident did not result in any injuries.
