The emergency response, coordinated by the Local Police, SERMAJ, and Civil Protection, provided basic assistance and supplies to those affected. The management of the facility was supported by local organizations and the municipality's business community.
Regarding the status of the displaced individuals, 97 people were able to leave the center after being picked up by relatives or finding their own accommodation. The remaining evacuees were transferred to Alcalá de Henares following instructions from the authorities.
The Majadahonda Canine Integral Center (CICAM) managed the housing of pets belonging to the evacuees until reaching full capacity. Additionally, the City Council offered spaces at the Valle de la Oliva nursing home as a preventive measure for potential further needs.
The municipal operation was bolstered by the integration of Civil Protection personnel into the Integrated Operational Coordination Center (CECOPI). The local government has expressed its gratitude to the volunteers, taxi drivers, schools, and businesses that assisted in supporting the affected residents.
