The incident occurred around 11:20 AM at the José Luis jewelry store, located within the Espacio Torrelodones shopping center. The assailants, who arrived in a vehicle, directly entered the establishment, situated opposite the entrance to the Alcampo supermarket.
Once inside, the individuals threatened employees with firearms and stole several trays of jewelry in just over two minutes. Some witnesses reported hearing gunshots and recording the thieves' escape.
“"Three men armed with pistols and rifles entered. They broke the jewelry store's display cases and started shooting while shouting 'everyone to the ground, everyone to the ground. They also pointed their weapons at the security guard. It took them about three minutes and they left through the emergency exit"
Following the robbery, the perpetrators allegedly fled via the A-6 highway towards Collado Villalba. It has been reported that several witnesses managed to note down the license plate of the SUV used in the escape, which had reportedly been stolen a few hours earlier. The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to locate those responsible.
This incident adds to other recent robberies in the sector. Last week, another store of the same chain suffered a similar assault at the La Vaguada shopping center.
