The Galapagar City Council has awarded the comprehensive renovation of the public lighting network in the El Guijo urbanization, with an investment of over 2.1 million euros and a 15-month execution period.

The works, which will begin shortly, aim to put an end to the lighting problems that have affected the urbanization for years. The action focuses on replacing the existing 532 luminaires with high-efficiency LED technology, as well as renovating electrical panels, conduits, and supports.
Remote management systems will also be incorporated to improve network control and operation, providing the urbanization with a more modern, efficient, sustainable, and reliable infrastructure. The project also includes associated public space improvements, such as sidewalk renovation and new urban furniture installation.
This intervention is part of the municipal commitment to modernize infrastructure and improve public services, responding to a long-standing demand from the residents of El Guijo. The work will be carried out progressively to minimize inconvenience.
