The academic year in Galapagar begins by recognizing students who excelled in their results last year. A total of 104 students will receive the City Council's Academic Excellence Awards this year, having achieved the best academic records at the end of their cycles: 6th Grade Primary, 4th Grade ESO, and 2nd Grade Bachillerato.
The awarded students will receive financial grants ranging from 200 to 555 euros, with a total municipal investment of 37,000 euros. Through this recognition, the City Council aims to value the effort and dedication of schoolchildren, demonstrating that consistent work yields results and encouraging them to continue their academic careers.
The award ceremony for diplomas and scholarships, presided over by the mayoress of Galapagar, Carla Greciano, will take place on October 8th, at 7:00 PM, in the Jacinto Benavente Theater at the La Pocilla Cultural Center. This event represents more than just financial aid; it is a public acknowledgment of the young people's dedication and study hours.
As a consolidated novelty in this XIII edition, the Oreja Verde Adult School also participates in the recognition. Two students from this school have managed to access these awards, broadening the recognition to different educational paths and showing that effort, self-improvement, and the desire to keep learning can be rewarded at any stage of life.
