The municipality of Galapagar will host a program of activities on Saturday, September 5th, and Sunday, September 6th, leading up to its Patron Saint Festivities. Sports will take center stage with events such as the XXII Pepe Gómez Cycling Trophy Memorial, the Individual Petanque Championship, the Archery Festival Tournament, and various chito games.
Saturday, September 5th, will kick off with the Pepe Gómez Cycling Memorial on Avenida de los Voluntarios and Calle Montecillo. Simultaneously, the Petanque Championship will be held in El Toril Park, and the Archery Tournament at the “El Barrizal” field. In the afternoon, El Toril Park will host chito games for both adults and children.
Saturday night will feature the Los 40 Urban Party Festival in the Plaza de la Constitución, with free admission. The event will include performances by JØL and TATE, winners of the 2026 Young Bands Festival, along with other artists such as Lucía de la Puerta, Dellacruz, Gutta, and Nacho Nacif. The event will be hosted by Ramsés López, «El Faraón».
Sunday, September 6th, will again highlight cycling with the IV Sergio Martín Grand Prix, a race for the cadet category starting from Calle de la Inclusión. The XXXIX Regional Chito Championship for Pairs will also take place in El Toril Park, and the Table Tennis Social Tournament will be held at the Municipal Sports Center.
The XXVIII Bicycle Festival, organized by the Galapagar Cycling Club, will cover 5 kilometers starting from Calle de la Inclusión. The weekend will conclude with the Seniors' Celebration, which includes a mass, lunch, and musical performance, with limited spots for those over 70 years old.
