The initiative aims to transform this property, which dates back to the early 19th century, into a new cultural landmark for the city. The comprehensive restoration project will include the main building, auxiliary structures, and the gardens located between Avenida Juan Carlos I and Calle Batalla de Bailén.
The ideas competition, open to architecture professionals nationwide, seeks to select the best proposal to combine the preservation of the site's historical value with the functional needs of a modern cultural facility.
“"The ideas competition is the most appropriate formula to address an action of this relevance, as it will allow for the evaluation of different architectural solutions."
A jury composed of municipal representatives, technical experts, and renowned architects will evaluate the submitted projects. Three prizes will be awarded to the best-rated proposals, with the winning design serving as the basis for the development of the basic and execution project.
