The festivities will commence on Sunday, April 26, with a prayer meeting of the Brotherhood of Pilgrims at 7:00 PM at the Parish Church. On the same day, starting at 8:00 AM, the Virgin will be transferred from the El Cerrillo Hermitage to the Parish Church. To facilitate participation, a bus will be available from the Town Hall at 7:30 AM, and a walking procession will depart from the Church Square at 6:15 AM, concluding with Holy Mass at 10:00 AM.
The preliminary program includes youth adoration on May 1 at the Parish Church and a septenary in honor of the Virgin from May 3 to May 9, with a rosary at 6:30 PM and mass at 7:00 PM, except for Sunday, May 3, when it will be at 8:00 PM. On May 4, at 7:00 PM, a funeral will be held in memory of all deceased pilgrims.
On Saturday, May 9, one of the most significant pre-pilgrimage events will take place: the Rosary of the Dawn at 9:00 AM, which will process through the Parish Church, Church Square, Torero José Tomás Square, Henares Street, and San Gregorio Street. In the afternoon, after the rosary and the conclusion of the septenary, a Castilian mass sung by the Rondalla San Isidro Labrador will be celebrated, featuring the proclamation, the blessing of medals for new pilgrims, and the awards ceremony for the drawing contest.
The main day of the pilgrimage will be Sunday, May 10. The departure of the Virgin from the Parish Church is scheduled for 10:45 AM, accompanied by jota dances and dulzaineros. Arrival at the Hermitage is expected at 12:45 PM, where a floral offering will take place, followed by a solemn mass at 1:00 PM, officiated by the parish vicar of Galapagar.
Throughout the main day, various activities will be held, such as an omelet contest at 2:30 PM, traditional games organized by the Peña la Casina at 4:30 PM, recitation of the Holy Rosary, a cake contest at 5:30 PM, and a pétanque contest at 6:00 PM. At 7:00 PM, the San Bartolomé and San Isidro Labrador Folkloric Group will perform, followed by a raffle of baskets with cured meats. The day will conclude around 8:00 PM with the singing of the Salve and the rondón. Free buses will be available with departures from the Town Hall and returns from the Hermitage, and a parish bar will donate its proceeds to youth activities.
The program also includes the Rosaries of the Dawn on Saturdays, May 2, 16, and 23, at 9:30 AM at the Parish Church, and on Saturday, May 30, with a departure at 8:00 AM from El Guijo to the Hermitage, after which Holy Mass will be celebrated. For this last day, a bus will be available from the Town Hall at 7:45 AM.
Among the complementary activities, the traditional ribbon race on May 15 stands out, following mass, procession, and the blessing of the fields, as well as the XXII Castilian Folkloric Encounter, to be held on May 23 at 6:00 PM in the Plaza de la Constitución. This encounter will feature the participation of the groups “Coros y Danzas El Miajón” from the Hogar Extremeño de Móstoles and the San Bartolomé and San Isidro Labrador Folkloric Group. The registration period for participating with carts and wagons in the pilgrimage will remain open until May 6, requiring vehicle registration, the name of the owner or association, and a contact phone number, with all registered participants receiving a gift.
