The Community of Madrid will incorporate 596 public residential places for dependent elderly individuals between November 1 and June 30, 2028, with a budget of approximately 25 million euros.

The Governing Council authorized 12 contracts this week for 431 of these places, amounting to over 18.4 million euros. These places will be located in facilities in municipalities such as Pinto, Torrelodones, Navalcarnero, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, El Álamo, San Martín de la Vega, Cadalso de los Vidrios, Galapagar, and Pozuelo de Alarcón.
The remaining budget, over 6.4 million euros, will cover 165 places that do not require specific authorization for their processing. The centers will be distributed across Madrid districts like Latina and Carabanchel, and in towns such as Cobeña, Getafe, Serranillos del Valle, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Aldea del Fresno, Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Brunete, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Alcalá de Henares, Galapagar, Torrelodones, San Sebastián de los Reyes, San Martín de la Vega, Pinto, Meco, Villanueva de la Cañada, El Álamo, Algete, El Molar, Majadahonda, Navalcarnero, and Lozoyuela-Navas-Sieteiglesias.
The Residential Care Framework Agreement stipulates that these centers must develop specific programs for the prevention, detection, and response to situations of loneliness. Furthermore, records will be created detailing users' dietary, cultural, and leisure preferences.
The professionals in these residences are specialized in providing personal support and care, as well as geriatric, rehabilitative, psychological, and social assistance. Alongside accommodation and meals, residents will have access to recreational activities, initiatives against isolation, and hairdressing and chiropody services.
