Tres Cantos has completed various renovation and maintenance actions on its fountains, ponds, and green areas, with a total investment of approximately 200,000 euros.

The municipality of Tres Cantos has carried out a series of renovation and maintenance works on its fountains, ponds, and green areas during the summer period. These interventions, part of the municipal program ‘Open for Holidays’, aim to optimize the conservation, operation, and efficiency of these public facilities.
The actions have focused on key points such as the lagoon in Parque Central, the pond in Sector Islas, and the fountain at Puerta de Madrid. The overall investment for these improvements, which also include gardening, children's and recreational areas, and urban furniture, amounts to approximately 200,000 euros.
In the lagoon of Parque Central, 15,000 euros have been invested in waterproofing the basin to prevent water loss and facilitate future cleaning and conservation tasks. Meanwhile, the pond in Sector Islas has undergone cleaning, sludge removal, and pipe unblocking, with an investment exceeding 35,000 euros, also including basin waterproofing.
The fountain at Puerta de Madrid, one of the main entrances to the city, has been completely updated. A new LED lighting system has been installed, with an investment of 50,000 euros, which has reduced the power consumption from 120 to 16 watts. Additionally, another 50,000 euros were allocated to the renovation of the hydraulic system, totaling 100,000 euros for this fountain.
These improvements are part of a broader City Council plan for the transformation of public spaces, which includes projects for the Salón Urbano, Viñuelas Avenue, and the new sections executed on Encuartes Avenue, with a total investment of 6.5 million euros.
