The initiative, promoted by the Mobility Department, seeks to encourage urban micromobility and sustainable travel within the municipality. The subsidies will cover the acquisition of electric scooters certified by the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) and electric bicycles with pedal-assist systems.
Applications will be processed through the municipal Electronic Headquarters, under the aid and subsidies section. The opening of the application period coincides with the celebration of World Bicycle Day.
The City Council has allocated a budget of 15,000 euros for this fifth call for applications. The subsidy will be 100 euros for electric scooters and 300 euros for electric bicycles with pedal assist. These grants are aimed at residents registered in Tres Cantos who have purchased the vehicle between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026, and who are up-to-date with their tax obligations. Competition vehicles and second-hand vehicles are excluded.
All detailed information regarding the regulatory bases and the application procedure will be available from June 3 on the Electronic Headquarters and the municipal website. The process to follow is titled ‘Acquisition of electric personal mobility vehicle’.
