Tres Cantos Kicks Off Pre-Festival Events with a Weekend Packed with Activities

The municipality offers cultural, sports, and leisure options for all ages, marking the start of the summer season and the countdown to the Patron Saint Festivals.

Tres Cantos launches its Pre-Festival events this weekend with a packed agenda including pool openings, concerts, opera, and youth activities.

The municipality of Tres Cantos is gearing up for its Patron Saint Festivals with an intense Pre-Festival program beginning this Friday, June 12. The schedule, designed to offer options for all ages, will serve as a prelude to the main celebrations, officially set to commence on June 18.
The inaugural day on Friday will feature the opening of the municipal swimming pools in Foresta and Embarcaciones, marking the start of the summer season. In the afternoon, the Plaza de Pablo Iglesias will host the traditional Senior's Festivity. Additionally, the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center will screen the short film Juguetes, focusing on youth mental health, followed by a Q&A with its director. The Department of Youth and Childhood is also organizing a summer party for 1st-year ESO students at the Vértice Youth Center.
On Saturday, June 13, the Ruedas a la pista (Wheels on the Track) activity will take place at the Road Safety Education Park. The La Maliciosa football field will host the Intergenerational Futsal Tricantino World Cup, an initiative linked to Suicide Prevention Week. The afternoon will be dedicated to culture with the broadcast of the opera Romeo y Julieta at the Municipal Auditorium and a dance exhibition in the Plaza de la Familia.
Music will be the highlight on Saturday night with the Metropop concert in the Plaza de la Familia, featuring covers of 80s and 90s pop and rock hits. Young people will enjoy La Noche es Joven (The Night is Young) at the Fairgrounds with DJ sets. Volleyball will also have its space with the 4x4 Tournament at the La Luz Sports Center.
On Sunday, June 14, the highly anticipated Water Festival will take place at the Foresta municipal pool, with free entry for children under 14. Attendees can also visit the Tesoros de Hollywood (Hollywood Treasures) exhibition for the last time in the Sala Baluarte of the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center, which closes its doors after a successful season.
