Parque Central in Tres Cantos has inaugurated a new section with one hundred Knock Out rose bushes, adding to the existing rose garden and commemorating the municipality's 35th anniversary.

Since April 10th, Parque Central in Tres Cantos has seen an expansion of its already impressive rose garden. One hundred new Knock Out rose bushes, known for their resilience and low maintenance, have been planted, enriching one of the city's most emblematic spots.
The official inauguration was attended by Mayor Jesús Moreno, who symbolically planted one of the specimens. He was accompanied by councilor Pedro Fernández and Culture councilor Elisa Miguel. The choice of the Knock Out variety is not accidental, as it blooms from spring to autumn, is disease-resistant, and requires little care, making its preservation easier.
The rose garden at Parque Central, which already covers nearly 2,300 square meters and houses over 3,200 rose bushes, is a unique space in the region. The incorporation of these new specimens not only expands the area and diversity of species but also contributes to the park's sustainability by reducing maintenance needs due to the robustness of the chosen variety.

"This rose garden is an example of the city model we want to continue building, where green spaces play a leading role in the quality of life and well-being of residents. It represents a new step in our firm commitment to continue promoting a more sustainable, well-cared-for city designed for the well-being of all people."

Jesús Moreno · Mayor of Tres Cantos
This initiative is part of the one hundred commemorative actions organized by the City Council to celebrate Tres Cantos' 35th anniversary as a municipality. The expansion of the rose garden is one of the most visible and lasting actions, intended to endure and beautify the environment for many seasons.

"To continue working daily so that Tres Cantos has quality green spaces, accessible and efficient in their maintenance, which not only beautify the environment but also contribute to improving the quality of life for all residents."

Pedro Fernández · Councilor for Public Services
