The public school Carmen Hernández Guarch in Tres Cantos has unveiled an innovative children's pavilion, the result of a comprehensive renovation undertaken by the City Council of Tres Cantos with an investment of 500,000 euros. The project completely transforms the previous building, incorporating an aerothermal system with radiant-cooling floors, acoustic ceilings, enhanced natural light utilization, and state-of-the-art furniture.
Mayor Jesús Moreno highlighted that the renovation elevates the quality of the city's public schools, offering excellent facilities adapted to new educational needs. The aerothermal system with radiant-cooling floors, which provides both cooling and heating, makes this center the first in Tres Cantos to utilize this technology.
The installation is connected to the center's existing photovoltaic system, optimizing energy consumption and efficiency. Additionally, LED lighting with sensors and large windows have been implemented to maximize natural light, transforming the space into a brighter and more pleasant environment. Acoustic comfort has been enhanced with noise-absorbing ceilings and systems.
The interior design features warm materials and colors, with natural wood, creating cozy spaces for young children. It includes an automatic system for opening blinds and curtains to regulate natural light. The furniture is integrated into the building, and the bathrooms have rounded shapes and wood finishes. Safety has been improved with door protection to prevent finger entrapment.
The new pavilion includes four classrooms organized around a spacious central hall, promoting an open, functional, and versatile distribution. Accessibility has been enhanced with a side ramp and adapted bathrooms. A new storage room has been created to facilitate the organization of educational materials.
The mayor indicated that these solutions will serve as a reference for future projects in other children's pavilions in Tres Cantos, aiming to progressively extend this new concept of educational spaces adapted to the needs of the youngest. The goal is for educational excellence to be accompanied by commensurate facilities, investing in innovative solutions for the well-being of students and teachers.
