On April 23rd, Tres Cantos will host a public collective reading to celebrate Book Day 2026, an event aimed at promoting Spanish literature among residents.

Several entities in Tres Cantos, including the Asociación Vecinal de Tres Cantos, the Grupo Literario Encuentros, and the Universidad Popular Carmen de Michelena, have organized a cultural event to commemorate Book Day 2026. The initiative will take place on April 23rd at the Centro 21 Marzo Factoría Cultural, specifically in the assembly hall of the Madrid municipality.
The event, scheduled between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, will feature a collective reading session. During this day, participants will have the opportunity to read a selection of literary texts representative of different eras, offering a journey through the rich tradition of Spanish-language literature.
The celebration of Book Day in Tres Cantos aligns with the international commemoration promoted by UNESCO since 1995, whose main objective is to foster reading and recognize the global importance of literature. The organizers invite all residents to join this activity, conceived as a space for gathering and enjoying literature through aloud reading.

"The initiative is organized by several local entities: the Tres Cantos Neighborhood Association, the Encuentros Literary Group, and the Carmen de Michelena Popular University. These associations have coordinated an open meeting for the public with the purpose of bringing Spanish literature closer to attendees."
