The municipality of Tres Cantos commemorates its 35th anniversary immersed in a phase of notable urban and social development, driven by strategic projects in housing, employment, and public services.

Tres Cantos is experiencing a period of great dynamism, celebrating its 35th anniversary with a future vision focused on growth and improving the quality of life for its residents. Mayor Jesús Moreno highlights that the city is undergoing its greatest period of development, both urban and social, supported by solid economic management and citizen participation.
Key projects defining this era include the revision of the General Urban Planning Plan, the construction of new housing, the future Tres Cantos Norte commuter train station, the boost to the business sector, and the expansion of public facilities. The mayor emphasizes the high fulfillment of the electoral program, with initiatives such as the Salón Urbano, a six-kilometer pedestrian axis, and the upcoming Paraninfo, a large park to be inaugurated in September.
The commitment to housing is fundamental, with the projection of approximately 2,000 homes in the medium term through the Plan Vive and Solución Joven, aiming to offer alternatives for young people to reside in the municipality. This strategy is complemented by the growth of infrastructure such as the tenth school and the second commuter train station, in addition to the first public senior residence granted by the Comunidad de Madrid.
The management of growth focuses on maintaining the high quality of life characteristic of Tres Cantos, prioritizing urban planning with large green areas and parks, and a robust offering of public services. The 24/7 library, family aid, support for local businesses, and efforts to combat loneliness among the elderly are pillars of this policy.
In terms of mobility, the mayor advocates for public transport, highlighting the importance of the two planned commuter train stations and park-and-ride facilities to decongest routes like the M-607 and M-40. Improvements to bus lines and the call for the closure of the M-50 complete the vision for more efficient mobility.
The record budget of 84 million euros for 2026 will be allocated to keeping the city clean and safe, addressing the needs of the most vulnerable groups (youth, seniors, families), and continuing to improve educational, sports, and cultural infrastructure. Tax pressure remains moderate, with the property tax (IBI) and vehicle tax at their lowest possible rates.
The Iuventa program promotes youth participation, identifying their priorities in education, culture, sports, and employment. Attracting technology companies and collaborating with universities aims to create job opportunities and enable young people to settle in Tres Cantos.
The emotional support initiative with artificial intelligence seeks to address the growing concern for mental health, offering psychological support to young people and seniors. This project, along with the TC Psicólogos program, aims to be a key resource for overcoming moments of anguish and depression.
The protection of the natural environment, with the proximity of areas like Monte de Viñuelas and Monte del Pardo, is fundamental to the quality of life in Tres Cantos. The administration is working on its conservation and expansion for future generations.
Regarding fire prevention, a message of reassurance is conveyed, highlighting the resources of the Comunidad de Madrid and municipal measures for clearing, cleaning, and surveillance. The importance of weather conditions and preparedness for potential events is emphasized.
The main festivities of San Juan promise a diverse program for all ages, featuring concerts, cultural activities, and the traditional bonfire. The objective is to foster participation, enjoyment, and social cohesion, also inviting residents from other municipalities to celebrate in harmony.
Mayor Jesús Moreno reaffirms his commitment to Tres Cantos, focusing on his municipal work and the development of major projects that will shape the city's future, expressing satisfaction with the achievements and the vision of continuous progress.
