The municipality of San Sebastián de los Reyes celebrated a weekend of sporting triumphs, with athletes, cyclists, triathletes, and beach volleyball teams securing outstanding results in regional and national events. These achievements solidify the presence of local clubs across various disciplines.
In athletics, the Club de Atletismo San Sebastián de los Reyes – Clínica Menorca stood out at the KLM Norte VS Sur race. Javier Martínez and Leire Castejón achieved second place in the overall standings, while Sergio Salinero finished third. David Martínez secured victory in the Máster M40 category.
Triathlon also contributed a national championship, with Álvaro Llinares Cardedal being crowned junior Spanish champion in A Coruña. Diego Carracedo narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth in the youth category in the same event.
The Club Voleibol San Sebastián de los Reyes celebrated the gold medal won by Paula and Lucía in the Madrid U-15 Beach Volleyball Circuit, confirming the progress of their youth program.
The Unión Ciclista San Sebastián de los Reyes returned with several medals from the Spanish Championships for Autonomous Selections. Miguel Tizón and Santiago Sanz won bronze in cadet races. Candela Martínez took bronze in the female youth road race and was part of the champion Spanish team, alongside Valentina Balmaceda and Mariela Pérez. Asier Cezón added bronze in the male youth gymkhana and team medals.
The Sanse Futsal women's youth team was crowned League Champion for the 2025/2026 season, a title achieved with a mixed squad of pre-youth and youth players.
Player Alicia Martínez Vergara represented the U-12 team of the Royal Football Federation of Madrid in the Spanish Championship for Autonomous Selections, adding to the presence of local athletes in top-level competitions.
