Among the most significant decisions is the application within the municipality of urban planning regulations for the promotion of protected housing, in accordance with Law 3/2024. This initiative aims to increase the supply of publicly protected housing in the town, aligning with regional legislation.
In urban planning matters, the municipal corporation agreed to abandon the review process of the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU), a procedure initiated in February 2015. This decision concludes the update of said plan.
Furthermore, the Organic Regulations for the Special Commission for Suggestions and Claims were initially approved, thereby strengthening channels for citizen participation and feedback. Members of the Municipal Economic Administrative Tribunal were also appointed.
To boost economic activity, the Plenary Session gave the go-ahead for the creation of a municipal office for investment attraction. This initiative, promoted by non-attached councilors Amparo Ortega and José Luis Trebolle, aims to serve as a tool for attracting businesses to the municipality.
The session also included a motion of support for Ceuta, approved following a recent municipal rally in the Plaza de la Constitución. Lastly, the creation of a canine recreation area in Fresno Norte was approved, proposed by Vecinos por Sanse/Ciudadanos.
