Sanse Handball Club Achieves Bronze and Player Called to National Team

San Sebastián de los Reyes celebrates sports achievements with the U18 handball team's bronze medal and Carlos Donderis's call-up to the national beach handball team.

The weekend has been particularly fruitful for sports in San Sebastián de los Reyes. The Club Balonmano Sanse has stood out by securing the bronze medal in the 2nd National Sector, held in Córdoba. This achievement solidifies the presence of the first-category U18 team in the national competition.
In addition to the collective success, player Carlos Donderis has been called up to participate in the training sessions for the 'Hispanos de la Arena' (Sand Spaniards). This call-up is part of the preparation for the 2026 World Championship, which will take place in Zagreb.
The Club Atletismo San Sebastián de los Reyes – Clínica Menorca also achieved notable results in the Madrid Championship of Trail Running by clubs and relays, held in La Cabrera. The U10 men's team won the bronze medal.
Other disciplines have also shone. In the Fundación Real Madrid Race, Javier Martínez won the 5-kilometer race, followed by Sergio Salinero in second place. David Martínez finished second in the 10-kilometer distance, and Ángel Lebrero took first place in the M65 veterans category. In the Torrelaguna Popular Race, Marcos Oñate crossed the finish line in first position.
In football, Unión Deportiva San Sebastián de los Reyes drew 1-1 against Alcoyano at the Matapiñonera stadium, thus advancing to the next round of the promotion play-offs. The Club Patín Rollart Sanse won a silver and two bronze medals in Velilla de San Antonio. Meanwhile, Sanse Hockey Complutense achieved victories in their respective leagues, with the women's team defeating Sardinero and the men's team beating RC Jolaseta.
