San Sebastián de los Reyes has initiated the renovation of Mercedes Izquierdo street, Papa Sixto V street, and Plaza del Recreo, with an investment exceeding 1.5 million euros.

The intervention, scheduled for nine months, covers approximately 2,500 square meters of the old town and is part of the strategic Bosque Urbano La Marina project. The main objective is to reorganize public space to prioritize accessibility and pedestrian flow, creating new areas for leisure and gathering.
The works involve the comprehensive transformation of the mentioned streets and square, aiming to reclaim these spaces for citizens. An increased presence of green areas and a design intended to foster coexistence are planned, moving towards a more sustainable and accessible historic center.

"We will work to minimize any potential disruptions and facilitate the daily activities of residents and local businesses."
