The socialist municipal group in Tres Cantos has urged the City Council to demand that the Regional Transport Consortium of Madrid implement urgent measures to improve interurban bus services, which have been affected by construction work on the northern axis of the Paseo de la Castellana.

The political group has expressed concern over the deteriorating public transport connecting the municipality with the capital, noting that changes resulting from the construction are negatively impacting residents' daily commutes.
According to the municipal group, modifications to several services on lines 712, 713, and 716 are due to increased travel times caused by interventions in the Plaza de Castilla area. This situation, they assert, is leading to delays and disruptions in regular schedules.

"The lack of planning in carrying out these works compromises the mobility of our residents."

The municipal group criticized the lack of foresight, stating that this scenario should have been anticipated with an alternative plan to ensure service operation, in accordance with the concession map approved by the Community of Madrid less than a year ago.
Furthermore, they have denounced the absence of adequate communication regarding changes in frequencies and schedules, which complicates user organization as they lack updated information to plan their journeys. Socialists believe that citizens have not been sufficiently informed, exacerbating the consequences of service disruptions.
The municipal group has requested that the local Government convey residents' dissatisfaction to the Regional Transport Consortium and, in coordination with the Community of Madrid, adopt measures to restore normal service conditions as soon as possible. Proposals include increasing material and human resources to address longer travel times and reinstate affected services.
