One construction worker dies, another seriously injured in San Sebastián de los Reyes

A 43-year-old worker has died and another, aged 36, has been seriously injured following the collapse of a floor in a house under construction in San Sebastián de los Reyes.

The tragic incident took place this Thursday around 2:00 PM on Osa Street in the Madrid town. Emergency medical services from Summa 112 were dispatched to the scene to attend to those involved.
Upon arrival, paramedics attempted to resuscitate one of the workers, a 43-year-old man, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful. The other worker, aged 36, was transported with a potentially serious condition to La Paz hospital.
The response operation also included personnel from the Local Police of San Sebastián de los Reyes and the Community of Madrid Fire Department, who attended to secure the area and assist in rescue efforts.
