Last Saturday, the Princesa Leonor Forest Park in Alcobendas opened its doors to residents with a grand inauguration party that gathered nearly 8,000 people. The event, designed for family enjoyment, offered an afternoon packed with activities.
Various attractions were set up throughout the park. Young children participated in balloon and face-painting workshops, while Circomotik's giant games promoted coordination and balance among children and adults.
One of the most unique attractions was ‘La Petite Caravane’, a small theater housed in a caravan offering shows set in the early 20th century. Additionally, a family Zumba class encouraged attendees to move to the music.
The Peque Bosque (Little Forest), the new themed children's area, stood out with its length of over 40 meters, making it one of the largest children's zones in the city. Children had the chance to try out its giant slides.
The celebration also provided an opportunity for many families to explore the park for the first time. The artificial hill, built on the former landfill, offered panoramic views of the Sierra de Guadarrama and Somosierra from its summit.
The day concluded with the aerial show ‘Verne’ by the company Puja, whose acrobatic performance capped off a celebration that allowed thousands of residents to discover the new green space in Alcobendas.
