The Civil Guard has arrested four individuals involved in the assault on a young person inside a bus in Colmenar Viejo on May 1st, charging them with attempted homicide and belonging to a criminal organization.

The incident occurred on May 1st, around 9:00 PM, when several young individuals, allegedly armed with bladed weapons, entered a regular bus parked in front of the Renfe station in Colmenar Viejo. Inside the vehicle, a young person was attacked with punches and stab wounds to various parts of the body, requiring their transfer to a hospital.
Following the event, agents from the Madrid Command of the Civil Guard launched an investigation that led to the identification and arrest of the four alleged perpetrators of the attack. The presumed material author of the aggression has been imprisoned, while the other three detainees have also been brought before justice.

"The four arrested individuals are charged with two crimes: attempted homicide and belonging to a criminal organization."

The charge of attempted homicide suggests that, in the assessment of the Civil Guard and the judicial authority, the severity of the attack goes beyond an ordinary assault. Furthermore, the charge of criminal organization indicates that the events may not have been an isolated act, but rather part of a structured criminal activity.
The attack took place on public transport, a daily means of travel for many residents of Colmenar Viejo and nearby municipalities in northern Madrid, at a key connection point with the capital.
