The regional minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, visited the new urbanization on Tuesday, located on Cristóbal Colón Avenue, in the Las Adelfillas neighborhood. During his tour, Rodrigo highlighted the progress of the autonomous Executive in expanding the affordable rental housing stock, aiming to meet one of the most pressing needs of Madrid's citizens.
With this recent addition, the total number of Plan Vive homes in Colmenar Viejo now stands at 363, positioning the municipality as a fundamental pillar of this initiative. The inaugurated development consists of 81 homes, distributed into 23 one-bedroom, 52 two-bedroom, and six three-bedroom units, all featuring terraces.
The residential complex offers various amenities, including a gym, swimming pool, solarium, and a multi-sport court. Its construction utilized industrialized building techniques and energy efficiency criteria, reflecting a modern and sustainable approach.
“"The regional government's objective is to exceed 14,000 homes throughout the legislature through public-private collaboration formulas."
Minister Rodrigo also emphasized the excellent connectivity of these new homes with the capital, a factor that, in his words, "contributes to improving the quality of life for tenants." He underscored that the Plan Vive has consolidated itself as an effective tool to increase the supply of affordable housing in the region, providing homes with accessible rents in well-connected locations.
