The Colmenar Viejo City Council has unveiled its new Tax Headquarters, a digital platform enabling residents to manage local taxes and fees quickly and conveniently, including the option to pay via Bizum, operational since November.
Residents of Colmenar Viejo now have access to a revamped tool for fulfilling their tax obligations. The new Tax Headquarters, officially launched by the City Council, aims to transform the management of local taxes and fees, adapting to current demands for speed and convenience for citizens.
The primary goal of this initiative is to bring the administration closer to taxpayers, allowing processes that previously required in-person attention or complex systems to be resolved intuitively and efficiently. The platform seeks to simplify any procedure related to residents' financial matters.
One of the most significant innovations is the expansion of payment methods. The Tax Headquarters integrates commonly used technological options, such as Bizum, facilitating instant receipt payments from mobile phones and eliminating the need to visit banks or manually enter data. Furthermore, the Taxpayer Portal has improved the direct debit system for taxes, offering residents clearer control over their linked receipts and the ability to make automatic modifications.

"Since the beginning of this term, we have promoted the modernization and digitalization of the municipal administration. This new advance in the digitalization of the Treasury area allows us to improve internal management and offer residents simpler, faster procedures without the need for travel."
Although the official presentation took place recently, the comprehensive tax management and collection system has been operational since November. This trial period has allowed for verification of its capacity to handle large volumes of data with enhanced security. The centralization of information in a single digital database streamlines attention and resolution of files by municipal technicians.

"Digital transformation is not just a technological issue, but a commitment to a more transparent, agile, and accessible administration. From the City Council, we will continue to promote new technological improvements to achieve greater efficiency, accessibility, and quality of public service."
The automation of procedures aims to avoid unnecessary travel and reduce waiting times. The platform allows for the immediate issuance of certain certificates after payment and the processing of registrations and cancellations with minimal human intervention. The security of financial and personal data for Colmenar Viejo residents is guaranteed through updated data protection protocols.
