This new National Police Documentation Unit's primary objective is to assist residents of the municipality and the northern area of the Community of Madrid with the issuance and renewal of these essential documents, eliminating the need to travel to other towns.
The strategic location next to the Cercanías Train Station not only improves accessibility but also centralizes official documentation management in a single point, addressing a common demand from the public.
The opening of these facilities responds to the need to bring basic administrative procedures closer to citizens. According to statements by the mayor, Carlos Blázquez, the new office will enhance citizen services and simplify daily tasks, reducing travel time and distances.
The City Council has provided a 348-square-meter space on the ground floor of the building, fully equipped to house the service. The office features eight processing stations: four for the National Identity Document, two for passports, and two for the Foreigner Identity Number. It also includes a waiting room for 30 people, DNI update points, administrative offices, and internal staff areas.
The City Council has funded the comprehensive renovation of the premises, including furniture, utilities, and security measures. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Government Delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, and the Director General of the Police, Francisco Pardo Piqueras, along with municipal representatives.
To access these services, booking an appointment is mandatory. This can be done through the official website citapreviadnie.es or by calling 060. The system allows users to select the document type, choose a date and time, and manage their appointments.
