The Saltimbanqui Festival, a well-established street theater event, returns to Colmenar Viejo throughout May, offering free family-friendly performances every Saturday at El Mirador Park.

The town of Colmenar Viejo is preparing to host the twenty-sixth edition of the Saltimbanqui Festival, a cultural event that has become a benchmark for family audiences. Every Saturday in May, El Mirador Park will be the stage for various artistic proposals combining theater, clown, and circus, all with free admission.
The program, designed to bring culture to residents of all ages in an open-air setting, will begin on May 9 with the company Mundo Costrini and their show Les frikis, a clown performance promising humor and comical situations. Performances will take place starting at 8:00 PM.
On May 16, as part of the Cirqueando series, Circo Psikario will present ¡Qué disparate!, a story about two characters attempting to set up a fairground attraction. Later, on May 23, La Baldufa will offer Safari, a play aimed at children over 3 years old that addresses issues such as peer bullying through a savannah investigation.
The festival's closing act is scheduled for May 30 with Carman, a circus and clown performance by Javier Ariza, where a showman and a Seat 600 come to life on stage. This event solidifies its position as one of the most important cultural appointments on the local calendar, forming part of the municipality's spring cultural program.
