“"Over the years, the Summer Carnival has become one of the most anticipated events for the residents of Colmenar Viejo and the thousands of visitors who join each year to celebrate this summer festival full of color, joy, and a great atmosphere. This year, the route and the end of the party will also be divided into two ambiances: one more family-oriented, aimed at children in the Plaza del Pueblo; and another, more for young adults and adults, which will extend the party until dawn with a DJ show at the Fairgrounds."

Colmenar Viejo is preparing to host its Summer Carnival on July 11th, an event expected to draw thousands with a parade and two distinct celebration areas.
The Summer Carnival in Colmenar Viejo will take place on Saturday, July 11th, featuring a parade starting at 8:00 PM. The festivities will extend into the early morning with two separate ambiances catering to different audiences.
The parade route will begin at Avenida de Los Remedios, enlivened by street bands and drum groups, and proceed along Calle San Sebastián to the Plaza de la Constitución. There, the route will divide.
A family-friendly zone will head down Calle Real towards the Plaza del Pueblo, where a stage truck will host children's performances until 1:00 AM. Other attendees will continue along Avenida de la Libertad and Calle Tomillo to the Recinto Ferial Las Huertas (Fairgrounds).
At the Recinto Ferial Las Huertas, starting at 9:00 PM, the main show will take place: ‘The Big Show: Guardians of the Ocean’, a marine-themed musical production combining animation, confetti, fire, and pyrotechnics. Several DJs will provide music with commercial, urban, techno, and electronic sets.
The venue will feature bars and food trucks. Attended mobile restrooms will be available in both areas. The Fairgrounds will host a Punto Violeta (Safe Space) from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM, offering psychological and informational support, along with a first-aid station managed by Civil Protection.
A special security operation, involving the Local Police, Civil Guard, and private security personnel, will manage access and exits. Entry with glass or metal objects is prohibited. Security cameras will be installed, and a lost and found office will be available.
Attendees are reminded that minors are prohibited from consuming alcohol. The use of large structures, bars, or vehicles during the parade is forbidden, with only individual costumes allowed. The public is also prohibited from using fireworks, which are reserved for the organized shows.
