On Saturday, July 11th, the town hosted a new edition of this summer event, attracting thousands of residents and visitors. The celebration kicked off at 8:00 PM with a parade that started from Avenida de Los Remedios, enlivened by brass bands and batucadas, marking the beginning of a night designed for all audiences.
The main route, which ran along Calle San Sebastián to the Plaza de la Constitución, was divided to offer two distinct experiences. A more family-oriented option led through Calle Real to the Plaza del Pueblo, where a stage featured children's performances until 1:00 AM.
The other part of the carnival continued along Avenida de la Libertad and Calle Tomillo to the Recinto Ferial Las Huertas, designated for a younger and adult audience. The Councilor for Festivals, Nacho Aceña Alcázar, highlighted the event's importance as one of the most anticipated dates, emphasizing the division of atmospheres to satisfy different groups.
The Fairgrounds became the night's epicenter from 9:00 PM with the musical show ‘The Big Show: Guardians of the Ocean’. This thematic production included confetti, fire, pyrotechnics, and sets by several DJs playing commercial, urban, techno, and electronic music, such as Rami, Kudos, Nacho Aguilar, Cristian Robles, and Want Disturb. The venue also featured bars and food trucks.
Attended restrooms and a Violet Point for prevention and information on equality were available in both areas. The Fairgrounds also had a first-response medical point from Civil Protection.
Security was a priority, with a special deployment by the Local Police, the Civil Guard, and private security. Measures included prohibiting alcohol consumption by minors, controlling access to the venue, and using security cameras. Attendees were reminded of the importance of carrying identification and visible contact numbers for minors.
