The Community of Madrid has delivered 81 new Plan Vive homes in Colmenar Viejo, located on Cristóbal Colón Avenue in the Las Adelfillas neighborhood, increasing the number of affordable rental homes in the municipality to 363.
This recent development brings the total number of Plan Vive homes in Colmenar Viejo to 363, contributing to the regional goal of reaching 5,292 units delivered across the entire Community of Madrid. The urbanization, situated on Cristóbal Colón Avenue, offers a variety of housing types.
The Minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, visited the new development, highlighting its design and amenities. The promotion includes 23 one-bedroom homes, 52 two-bedroom homes, and six three-bedroom homes, all featuring terraces. Additionally, the residential complex boasts a gym, swimming pool, solarium, and a multi-sport court for residents' enjoyment.
“
"Its good connection with the capital, which contributes to improving the quality of life for tenants."
Rodrigo also emphasized the construction's efficiency, noting that the properties were built using industrialized techniques and adhering to maximum energy efficiency criteria. During his visit, the minister reaffirmed the regional government's commitment to building new housing to increase the available supply.
“
"The housing problem is solved by building new homes and increasing supply. It is the only solution. It may take more or less time, but to solve the housing problem we need supply and to build homes, and we are doing that. Unlike those who intervene, limit, and block, we promote, build, and facilitate access to affordable housing."
With this delivery, the Community of Madrid moves closer to its goal of exceeding 14,000 Plan Vive apartments during the current legislative term, by implementing public-private collaboration formulas to boost affordable housing construction.
