This initiative, promoted by the Universidad Popular Carmen de Michelena, seeks to disseminate cosmic knowledge through stories that explore humanity's historical connection with the firmament. The event is scheduled from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The conference will feature Amparo González García, director of the organizing entity's storytelling group. The presentation is structured around narratives that delve into how various civilizations, since ancient times, have interpreted celestial phenomena through myths and tales, particularly in Greek and Roman cultures.
The content merges this narrative tradition with references to current astronomical knowledge, making the understanding of the universe accessible through storytelling. The session will include stories about the origin of the solar system, planets, and their cultural symbolism, performed by members of the Ensueños group, specialized in oral narration.
Among the titles to be presented are: When Planets Were Gods, How the Solar System Formed, Birth of Mars, Lina and Her Friends Go to Mars, The Goddess Venus and Mars, The Love of the Moon and Earth, Fonchito and the Moon, and Lucinda the Star.
This cultural activity is designed for a family audience, suitable for attendees aged six and above. Admission is free until the venue's capacity is reached, thereby expanding the cultural program of the Universidad Popular Carmen de Michelena with initiatives that combine outreach, oral literature, and scientific knowledge.
