The Alcobendas City Council has unveiled the Veranos de Alcobendas 2026 program, featuring over 3,000 spots in children's activities, camps, and cultural proposals to support family reconciliation during the summer months.

The Veranos de Alcobendas initiative returns in 2026 with an expanded range of activities, including urban camps, themed camps, sports options, and a diverse cultural program. The program is designed for all ages, with a special focus on children and youth, as well as supporting family reconciliation during the summer.
This year, the number of available spots has increased compared to previous editions, and proposals have been diversified to meet the demand from families in the municipality. Urban camps for children aged 4 to 11 now offer 2,000 spots, an increase of 200 from last year. These will run in fortnightly sessions between July 1 and August 31 at six public schools in the city.
Additionally, nearly 3,000 spots are available in activities managed by Imagina, aimed at children, adolescents, and young people. Spots for families with special needs have also been expanded to cover the demand identified by social services. During the camps, participants will enjoy creative workshops, games, and trips to the swimming pool or cinema, adapted to each age group.
The program also includes 411 spots in themed camps outside the municipality, with options focused on nature, multi-adventure, and water activities. A new addition is a nautical camp in Oliva during August, aimed at young people aged 13 to 15, offering light sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, and paddle surfing. For the first time, August is integrated into the camp schedule, extending the usual calendar.

"Given the high demand, the City Council maintains the pre-registration and lottery system for access to camps. This model, implemented last year, is being repeated after its successful operation."

The sports program offers over 1,900 spots in nearly seventy courses, which will take place at the José Caballero Sports Center and the Valdelasfuentes Sports City. For young people, the program includes creative workshops, summer schools, and a pre-monitor course, as well as a trip to the Camino de Santiago from July 5 to 11. The cultural offerings, running from June to September, will feature the Open Sky Festival, summer cinema, concerts, dance, theater, and events such as Alcobendas Danza and the Magic Gala.
