The Talento FP fair, held at the Centro Municipal La Esfera, was inaugurated by the mayors of both municipalities and representatives from the Community of Madrid. This gathering aims to consolidate an educational offering of over 140 academic degrees, providing young people with a clear vision of opportunities in the job market.
“"Today, three administrations have united at this fair with the common goal of providing learning and employment opportunities for our young people."
The collaboration between Alcobendas and San Sebastián de los Reyes, supported by the Ministry of Education of the Community of Madrid, underscores a unified commitment to fostering employment. This initiative responds to the demand for specialized technical profiles that companies require, positioning vocational training at the same level of prestige as other higher education options.
With the participation of fifteen educational centers from both localities, the fair presents 63 degrees in public centers and 85 in private centers. The offerings range from IT to healthcare, image and sound, or hospitality, ensuring options for all interests and academic backgrounds. The Mentores FP program, a regional initiative, directly connects the classroom with the professional world, showing students and their families the real-world application of their studies.
The event also dedicates a specific afternoon schedule for parents and guardians to address questions about career prospects and employability rates. Choosing a professional career is seen as a family project that requires verified and realistic information. The fair serves as an open consultation space to explore options and break down prejudices about vocational training.
Such events not only boost education but also contribute to local social and economic development. By training qualified professionals within the municipality, a virtuous cycle is created that attracts investment and wealth. The Talento FP fair aims to become an annual benchmark event in the Community of Madrid, allowing educational centers to adapt their offerings to business needs.
