Under the theme «Museums uniting a divided world», the center aims to bring scientific heritage closer to all audiences. The program includes proposals for families, visually impaired individuals, and astronomy enthusiasts, highlighting science's role as a tool for dialogue and mutual understanding.
Among the most original activities is a scavenger hunt titled «Cultural heritage of science and technology uniting a divided world», available from Tuesday, May 19 to Sunday, May 24. This initiative invites visitors to explore the museum's collection in a playful and engaging way.
Additionally, extraordinary guided tours of the permanent exhibition will be offered, where specialized guides will explain the significance of emblematic pieces. These tours are scheduled for Friday, May 22 at 3:00 PM, and on Saturdays, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 at 11:45 AM and 4:30 PM.
Astronomy will feature prominently with planetarium screenings about solar eclipses visible from Spain between 2026 and 2028. On May 23 and 24, the film Eclipse: moments of wonder will be shown, with sessions at 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM, costing 3 euros per session. There will also be an eclipse workshop focusing on pre-cinema and the magic lantern, on the same days at 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
On Sunday, May 24 at 12:00 PM, the MUNCYT auditorium will host the show «The image hunter», combining illusionism, shadow theater, and magic lantern to explore the origins of scientific imagery. To promote inclusion, the workshop «Feel the science», aimed at visually impaired individuals, will take place on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24.
As a unique opportunity, MUNCYT will also organize guided tours of its warehouse in Paseo de las Delicias, Madrid, on Tuesdays, May 12 and 19 at 11:00 AM, allowing visitors to see how the museum's collections are preserved.
