The Asociación Rociera Villa de Valdeolmos, with the support of the City Council, is organizing the San Juanillo Pilgrimage for the twelfth consecutive year, a festive event that has become an unmissable date for residents. This year, the celebration will take place on June 20 and will extend from mid-morning until the early hours of the morning.
The pilgrimage program will begin at 11:00 AM with the departure from the Plaza de la Fuente in Valdeolmos towards the Finca El Monte. Subsequently, at 12:00 PM, pilgrims and horsemen will meet at Finca El Monte, followed by an aperitif offered by the organization at 12:30 PM.
The procession will continue to the Pradera, accompanied by the image of San Juan. The central religious event will be the Rociera mass, scheduled for 1:30 PM in the Dehesa. After the mass, at 2:00 PM, a popular lunch will be served in the Pradera, with a bar offering sandwiches and soft drinks at affordable prices.
Music will liven up the afternoon and evening starting at 5:30 PM with a performance by the group «UNOXUNO». At 7:30 PM, it will be the turn of Víctor Jinete and Juan Miguel Saz, and to close the day, the group «ADUO» will perform at 10:30 PM.
The celebration will conclude with a bingo and raffle at 12:00 AM, and the party will end at 2:00 AM, marking the end of nearly fifteen hours of activities aimed at highlighting the values of tradition, faith, friendship, and joy.
This pilgrimage, which combines the religious with the festive and the popular with the musical, is the result of twelve years of work by the Asociación Rociera Villa de Valdeolmos and the support of the local council, reaffirming the importance of these celebrations in the life of the towns in the Community of Madrid.
