The Community of Madrid has agreed to extend the extraordinary home support and accompaniment service for elderly, disabled, or dependent individuals affected by the fires in the Sierra Oeste.

The measure, endowed with 1.1 million euros, will provide over 50,000 hours of in-home assistance. These services focus on essential tasks such as personal hygiene and mobility, with special support for elderly individuals living alone.
The service also covers procedures related to home adaptation, dealings with insurance companies and banks, as well as medical appointments. Additionally, it includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, cognitive stimulation, and early intervention services.
This initiative is part of the extraordinary social measures implemented in the municipalities affected by the major fire. The provision of this service is compatible with existing aid from the System for Autonomy and Dependency Care and other public resources.
