The Community of Madrid has approved an investment of 3 million euros in direct aid for individuals starting their activity as self-employed in 2027. The subsidies aim to promote self-employment and cover initial business expenses.

These grants, managed by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Employment, can reach up to 6,200 euros per applicant, depending on their circumstances. The funds are intended to cover expenses such as notary and registrar fees, civil liability insurance, water, gas, and electricity supplies, as well as website creation and the acquisition of software licenses, among others.
Unemployed individuals who register with the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) or their professional college's mutual society are eligible for these incentives. A key requirement is to maintain their activity for at least two years.
The application period for these funds is three months from the start of the business initiative, understood as the date of registration in the Economic Activities Tax or the RETA. This open-ended call allows applications to be submitted at any time of the year through the Digital Administration of the Community of Madrid.
