The Community of Madrid has published the resolution with the list of admitted students for Baccalaureate grants for the 2026/27 academic year, which will benefit over 17,400 students and for which the regional Executive has invested 43.5 million euros.

The Minister of Education, Science and Universities, Mercedes Zarzalejo, announced the news during her visit to the San Gabriel school in the Carabanchel district of the capital. These grants are aimed at students pursuing this non-compulsory stage in subsidized or private centers, with the aim of reinforcing families' freedom of choice and promoting equal opportunities.
For the second consecutive year, academic performance has been included as a scoring criterion, awarding up to two points based on the final grade of the last completed course. Students who already benefited from the grant this year have been able to extend it, provided the conditions for its concession were maintained and they had expressly requested it.
Among the requirements to apply are not having repeated a course and being enrolled or having a reserved place. The amounts received will vary according to family income: 3,750 euros annually for per capita incomes up to 10,000 euros, and 2,000 euros for incomes between 10,000 and 35,913 euros. The grant cannot exceed the total cost of the academic year if it is lower than the awarded amount.
