The Community of Madrid has approved an initial reserve of 119 million euros for aid related to pregnancy, birth, or adoption, which will extend until 2029.

The Governing Council of the Community of Madrid has given the green light to an initial allocation of nearly 119 million euros for aid related to pregnancy, birth, or adoption. The funds will be distributed as 40.5 million for 2027, 49.2 million for 2028, and 29.2 million for 2029.
This benefit, granted by the regional Executive, consists of 500 euros per month for pregnant women from the 21st week of gestation until the child turns two years old. This amounts to a maximum of 14,500 euros per child over a period of 29 months. The measure also extends to adoption cases and, from 2027, to mothers up to 35 years old who have a third child.
The Law approved in the Community of Madrid also establishes that the unborn child will count as an additional member of the family unit from conception for accessing regional benefits. This calculation will apply to aid that considers per capita income, such as study grants, school meals, and early childhood education, as well as those for young renters.
Furthermore, families with two children who are expecting a third may be considered large families and benefit from this status from the 15th week of gestation, with tax advantages, transport discounts, educational aid, and price reductions in sports and cultural facilities.
