The JAZZMADRID 2026 festival begins its programming in October with a week dedicated to the fusion of styles, connecting the jazz scene with electronic, soul, funk, and Brazilian music.

From October 2nd to 8th, JAZZMADRID 2026 will present a series of concerts in various Madrid venues, exploring the evolution of jazz and its dialogue with other musical genres. The program aims to bridge jazz tradition with new European club culture trends, as well as Brazilian music and sounds from New York.
The opening day, Friday, October 2nd, will feature the ‘Jazz Con Sabor a Club’ cycle at Sala Clamores, presenting the Clarence Bekker Band with Quentin Moore, who fuse soul and Afro-American music. That same night, Café El Despertar will host the New York-Europe Connection project, led by Hans Luchs and Felipe Arce, uniting jazz and contemporary New York sounds with saxophonist Guido Baucia and drummer Ian Carl.
On Friday night, Sala Villanos will host Kraak & Smaak Soundsystem as part of the ‘Villanos del Jazz’ cycle, offering a hybrid performance of house, funk, and soul with live vocals. On Saturday, October 3rd, the San Patricio Big Band will perform at Sala Clamores, celebrating the spirit of large jazz orchestras.
Also on Saturday, under the alias Tour-Maubourg, Parisian producer Pierre-Antoine Grison will present his fusion of house and jazz at ‘Villanos del Jazz’. The week continues on Tuesday, October 6th, at Sala Villanos with a performance by Agnes Nunes, a promising voice in new Brazilian music, blending MPB, forró, and blues.
The festival will conclude this first week on Thursday, October 8th, with the Italian group P.H.A.T. at Tempo Club, highlighting the cultural exchange and diverse musical languages that define this edition of JAZZMADRID 2026.
Additionally, a Spotify playlist featuring over 70 tracks from the festival's artists has been curated, offering a preview of the event's aesthetic diversity and a journey through the tradition and avant-garde of contemporary jazz.
