The JAZZMADRID 2026 festival program promises a rich diversity of styles and origins. On Saturday, October 10, Sala Villanos will host the Canarian singer and composer Julia Rodriguez, presenting Hacia la vida, an award-winning album that fuses Canarian and Latin American folklore with jazz. Later, the same venue will welcome the British electronic music collective Crazy P, performing as DJs.
On the same day, Café Berlín will resonate with Ruly Herrera and his show Vampiros en La Habana. The Cuban drummer, along with Real Project, reinterprets the soundtrack of the cult animated film, blending jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk, and improvisation.
On Sunday, October 11, American blues will be prominently featured with D.K. Harrell, winner of the Blues Music Award for Best Emerging Artist, who will arrive in Madrid to deliver his powerful combination of intense guitar work and soulful vocals.
The program on Monday, October 12, will be marked by the presence of Serbian guitarist and singer Ana Popovic at Sala Villanos. Considered a benchmark in continental blues-rock, Popovic boasts a career spanning nearly three decades and 12 albums.
On Tuesday, October 13, Sala Villanos will host London-based composer, singer, and saxophonist Laura Misch. Her work blends ambient, experimental electronic, folk, and jazz, creating immersive atmospheres with her album Lithic.
On Wednesday, October 14, the 'Jazz con Sabor a Club' series will present a project fostering encounters between flamenco, jazz, improvisation, and electronic music, featuring Bandolero (percussion), Enriquito (trumpet), and Petaca (synthesizers).
One of the festival's highlights will be on Thursday, October 15, with the performance of Shabaka Hutchings at Sala Changó. The British multi-instrumentalist will present his solo project, exploring breath, resonance, and flute, connecting jazz, electronics, and diasporic traditions.
On the same day, Sala Villanos will welcome the Will Jacobs & Marcos Coll Band to present One More Time, a journey through rhythm and blues, soul, funk, and genuine blues.
JAZZMADRID 2026 thus reaffirms its role as a space for synthesis between traditional and contemporary creation, offering a week that intertwines Cuban cinematic memory, roots music, international blues, electronic experimentation, and flamenco.
