With this renewal, the Group consolidates a 24-year trajectory linked to this distinction from the Community of Madrid, first obtained in 2002. The general director of Madrid Excelente, Elena Mantilla, presented the recognition to Dr. Juan Abarca Cidón, president of HM Hospitales, at an event held at the Group's headquarters in Madrid.
The incorporation of both centers coincides with a new phase of growth for HM Hospitales in the region, where it operates 11 hospitals. The HM Tres Cantos University Hospital adds 126 jobs, while the HM Nuevo Norte Day Hospital contributes another 79. Both projects help expand the region's healthcare offerings and reinforce the Group's care capacity.
HM Hospitales has also renewed the Madrid Excelente – Cybersecure Place distinction, certifying compliance with specific digital security criteria, essential for protecting data and ensuring operational continuity in healthcare.
The seal recognizes HM Hospitales' commitment to a healthcare model based on care, teaching, and research. Biomedical research and the adoption of new technological tools facilitate the application of scientific advances to clinical practice, improving efficiency and patient care.
The Group also incorporates environmental criteria, with an emissions reduction plan for 2026-2030 and carbon footprint calculation. Public-private collaboration drives healthcare innovation and the development of the Community of Madrid's healthcare ecosystem.
