Public hospitals in the Community of Madrid have received highly positive feedback, with 94.4% of patients stating they would recommend them to family and friends, according to a recent survey.

The Ministry of Health has released survey results highlighting high user satisfaction with the public healthcare system in the Community of Madrid. Specifically, 94.4% of patients treated in public hospitals would recommend these facilities, while in Primary Care, the recommendation rate stands at 90.1%.

"The system responds with quality and guarantees, in a context marked by care pressure, population aging, and the growing complexity of care."

the Deputy Minister of Health
These findings, presented at the Hospital de La Princesa, are based on 46,712 telephone interviews conducted between October and December 2025. The Deputy Minister of Health emphasized that while these are "very good news," they also represent a "great responsibility" to maintain and improve these standards.
In hospital care, improvements in humanization indicators are notable, such as the evaluation of nighttime silence during admission, which increased by almost three points in 2025, with satisfaction levels exceeding 90%. Other highly valued aspects include information received, treatment, dedication, and privacy. In Primary Care, users particularly highlight the kindness, treatment, and problem-solving abilities of doctors and nurses, also surpassing 90% satisfaction and improving on previous year's results.
The Rapid Intervention Vehicles (VIR) and SUMMA's mobile ICUs also received a score close to 97% regarding the information provided by their professionals. The Ministry notes that approximately 600 of the more than 90,000 public healthcare professionals in Madrid are dedicated to maintaining quality standards and proposing improvements.
The survey also reflects positive feedback on infrastructure projects promoted by the regional Executive. Plans include the launch of 34 new health centers during the current legislative term, with six already operational and 28 under construction. Additionally, new hospital infrastructures are being added, such as the new Hospital 12 de Octubre, already in operation, alongside future projects like the City of Health, which will integrate the public University Hospital La Paz, and the new Gregorio Marañón Hospital.
