The exhibition explores the influence of Sigmund Freud's writings on the Catalan painter's work. The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sport, Mariano de Paco Serrano, highlighted during the presentation that "culture constitutes an essential and differentiating aspect of the region, while also being the main motivation for those who visit us".
The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum received 1,003,455 visitors in 2025, of whom 51% were national and 49% international. 78% of national visitors come from the region itself, and the remaining 22% from the rest of Spain. Internationally, the main countries of origin are the United States (6.8%), Italy (5.7%), France (4.8%), and the United Kingdom (2.3%).
Through this collaboration, the Community of Madrid recognizes the tourist and promotional importance of the activity developed by this cultural institution.
