The Community of Madrid has lit up the facade of the Real Casa de Correos, the seat of the regional government, in pink to commemorate World Breast Cancer Day. The initiative aims to continue raising societal awareness about the importance of research and early detection of this disease.
The regional Executive promotes the Early Detection Program for Breast Cancer (DEPRECAM). This program provides free mammograms every two years to women aged between 50 and 69 who are asymptomatic, with the goal of identifying the tumor in its initial stages.
