The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a yellow alert this Wednesday for maximum temperatures that will reach 37ºC in the southern half of the Community of Madrid, affecting several key areas of the region.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow alert for this Wednesday due to the high temperatures expected, which could reach up to 37ºC during the central hours of the day. This alert primarily affects the southern half of the Community of Madrid.
The alert will be in effect from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will impact areas such as the Metropolitan and Henares Area, as well as the South, Vegas, and West zones of the community. According to Aemet's forecast, towns like Aranjuez and Alcalá de Henares will register the highest maximums, reaching 37 degrees.
In the capital, Madrid, thermometers will range between 20ºC and 35ºC. Other towns such as Collado Villalba will experience highs of up to 33ºC, while Getafe and Navalcarnero will register up to 36ºC.
The alert level is considered low risk, with a probability of occurrence between 40% and 70%. Temperatures are expected to continue rising from Wednesday onwards, with minimums of 18ºC and generalized maximums around 37ºC across the region.
The forecast also includes skies with developing clouds during the central hours of the day, with the possibility of stormy showers in the afternoon in the Sierra area. The wind will blow variably and generally light.
