The upcoming film by American director Woody Allen, set in Madrid, has postponed its filming start date until October 5, according to official sources.

The movie will be shot entirely in the Community of Madrid, and its title will include the region's name. This project benefits from a sponsorship agreement that includes subsidies of 1.5 million euros from both the Community of Madrid and the City Council.
According to municipal data, these contributions will cover a quarter of the film's total budget, estimated at 12 million euros. The agreement stipulates that most of the filming will take place in the capital, with some scenes in other parts of the region, and at least 15% of the shots will be exterior.

"One of the most multifaceted contemporary artists in the cinematic landscape, who has shaped one of the most original and valued styles."

the Community of Madrid
The Community of Madrid justified its sponsorship by highlighting the director's career and the film's potential to promote the region as a tourist destination. The feature film is expected to generate significant impact and internationally position Madrid.
Film Madrid Region, the audiovisual office of the regional government, is advising the production team on scouting locations and facilitating contact with municipalities, whose response has been very positive. The region's diverse settings are expected to be reflected in the contemporary comedy.
The contract stipulates that the film will have a worldwide release and will be presented at a prestigious international festival, in addition to three preview screenings in different international cities.
