A driver of a vehicle for hire (VTC) was arrested by the Madrid Municipal Police in the Fuencarral-El Pardo district, after nearly nine kilograms of hashish and over 600 euros in cash were found inside his car.

The police intervention took place around 10:00 PM on April 16 on Sarriá Street. A Municipal Police patrol observed a VTC that was improperly parked, obstructing part of the roadway and hindering traffic in the area.
Noticing that the vehicle remained in the same position, officers proceeded to stop it and identify the driver. During the operation, the police detected a strong smell of narcotics emanating from inside the car.
Given this situation, a search of the car was conducted, revealing several supermarket bags in the passenger seat area. These bags contained packages of hashish wrapped in clear film.
In total, 90 individual packages were seized, with a combined weight of 8.8 kilograms. Some of these packages were marked with a distinctive logo. Additionally, a bag containing just over 600 euros in cash was found in the same location.
The driver, a man born in 1993, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. The vehicle was towed by the municipal crane at the police's instruction.
