The Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) reported that the incident, which occurred in the A-6 direction, complicated circulation into the capital. The impact was particularly severe on the A-5, near Alcorcón, where substantial queues of vehicles were observed.
This section of the M-40 is known for its high traffic volume during peak hours, especially at its connection with the A-5. Any disruption at this point typically creates a ripple effect, quickly spreading to other access roads into Madrid.
In addition to the A-5, the DGT also reported complications on other strategic access points. On the A-1, traffic jams were located near San Sebastián de los Reyes, while on the A-2, traffic issues were concentrated around Torrejón.
